About Dominika

On a rainy winter day in Anmore, BC, one inconspicuous event started Dominika’s journey as a musician. An ad for guitar lessons taped to the mailbox at the bottom of her street. A routine stop at said mailbox after school with her mom. An excitement at the prospect of learning something new. And the rest is history. Feeling a strong pull towards depth, authenticity, rawness, excellence, and truth, Dominika fell in love with rock n’ roll music (because what’s more real than rock n’ roll?). So after picking up the guitar at eight years old, Dominika also learned to sing and to play the bass and drums. She recently started piano lessons too!

After secondary school, Dominika’s love of music and media led her to obtain her diploma in Radio Arts & Entertainment at BCIT, where she honed her skills in on-air performance, interviewing, storytelling, writing, video editing, and audio editing and production. Noticing that she was particularly skilled at audio production, she interned at a recording studio for her practicum, and this launched her decision to continue studying audio and music in the Music Technology Diploma Program (MTD) at Douglas College.

In MTD Dominika is learning advanced music production and audio engineering skills. Courses include sequencing and synthesis, studio setup and maintenance, score production, live sound, music for film and video, music theory, audio recording, mixing, mastering, and surround sound.

Dominika loves spending her time in the studio engaged in her role as audio engineer and producer. She has a keen eye for detail and organization and finds purpose in guiding others through the creative process. With honesty, integrity, and warmth, Dominika invites you to step into the best version of yourself, to strip away the layers until the purest, most genuine performance comes to the surface with ease. Supporting you every step of the way, Dominika pushes you to achieve above and beyond what you thought you could, and most importantly, she gets you to have fun while doing it!

When she isn’t making music, Dominika loves to bike the Trabalouy Poco trail, read historical fiction and spiritual books, knit, play board games with her friends, regularly visit Vashti Rose ice cream in Port Moody (a must try), and hang out with her Boston terrier Toby.
